Echocardiogram (heart ultrasound)

This test uses ultrasound to study your heart.

 

The test requires you to lie on an examination bed.

Lubricant jelly is placed on the skin of your chest where the ultrasound probe is positioned.

 

No specific preparation is required, and it takes about 30 minutes.

The heart ultrasound is used to examine your heart's function, size and valves.

The test is bulk billed at Bundoora Cardiology
